For Students

Oasis College Connection harnesses the many relationships that the Oasis Center has established with local organizations and volunteers to provide a myriad of workshops and events to help students navigate the challenge of applying to college.

OCC collaborates with schools and other non-profits to provide financial aid nights, college admissions workshops, and test preparation, many of which occur at the new state-of-the-art Youth Opportunity Center (YOC). From awareness to aspiration to building the plan and the knowledge to get to college, these events support the key first steps in getting low-income and first-generation students to college.

For Non-Profits and Education Professionals

Throughout the community, there is extreme interest and excitement in providing college access services to the area youth. The need for college access services in an urban environment like Nashville far exceeds the services that any one organization could provide without partnering with like-minded organizations and individuals that share that same interest and excitement.

The Oasis College Connection helps to develop partner agencies and paraprofessionals throughout the community by providing workshops and training opportunities, providing knowledge of web-based programs to assist in the college search and financial aid processes, and providing opportunities to mentor community youth.

These events occur at the new state-of-the-art Youth Opportunity Center (YOC) training center and at other community-based locations.
