About the Youth Opportunity Center
Never before has one pathway been created in Middle Tennessee with the potential to connect so many young people with so many opportunities, enabling them to transition into a healthy and productive adulthood.
The Youth Opportunity Center (YOC)—with its downtown and public transit-accessible location, youth friendly architecture, and financial savings for partner organizations—is being designed to ensure that all young people in Nashville have opportunities they need to be ready for school, ready for work, and ready for life.
Oasis Center will provide space in the new YOC for Nashville College Connection. In addition to providing office space where students and families can meet with college access experts, the center will also house a library of college access books and materials. Through a partnership with ConnectedTN and the Dell Foundation, five college access resource stations will be available and outfitted with brand new Dell computers. These resource stations are open and available to any student or family wishing to have access to them. Additionally, the resource stations will be utilized for small workshops, college search activities, on-line FAFSA completion, and career searches.
